Beleza Swimwear Catalogue Shoot

So recently I had the opportunity to work with the wonderful girls over at Beleza Swimwear. Sara and Lisa have just started out with their new line of bikinis aimed at getting the perfect fit for any girl. We did an amazing shoot for their catalog with the stunning model Heather Robertson.

Candy

I had the pleasure of working with Mandy and found both an amazing model and a wonderful person. It is fantastic when someones inner beauty is matched by their outward expressions and Mandy's energy, laughter and love of life came through in our shoot.

Dancing on Ice

Just so everyone knows, it is illegal to go on to the ice on the Glenmore Reservoir. The police and fire fighters will come and potentially ticket or arrest you. Even with that risk, the picture was totally worth it!

Magazine Fashion Shoot

Here is a shot from a recent shoot for a local Calgary magazine.

Kacie and I have always done some of our best work together when it is freezing out. This shoot was no exception, I was having trouble focusing the camera because it was so dark out so we had Kacie holding our cell phones up so that I could focus the camera on her face. Angela did the makeup and it turned the shoot into a high fashion shoot. Thanks Angela and Kacie!

Visually Stunning

There are times when I look back at some of my work and I am surprised at just how good some things turn out. I recently did a shoot with Elise and I was blown away by the results.

A Telephone Booth

Many times in my travels I com across interesting places that I will come back to for photo shoots. This was just such a place, I had found this telephone booth in downtown Calgary and then it took me nearly 8 months to get back to take a picture of it.

Catching Up

So I have been very prolific with respect to my photography over the last few weeks however this has meant that I have fallen behind in my blogging and other website updates. So now is catch up time.

One recent shoot was a fun afternoon in Calgary with Justine. One of the most animated models I know and the shoot turned out some impressive stuff. Here is my favourite from the shoot.

Lindsay at the Beach

So we woke up and it was a dreary day with a large chance of rain, We were shooting at a lovely section of the South Saskatchewan river that has beautiful sand. I on my way to get lindsay I stopped at our shoot location to check that it wasn't under water or something ridiculous like that. All was well and Lindsay and I had a fantastic shoot. It was a thursday morning so there was almost no one around which was good. There was the one creepy naked dude who was tanning down the beach but he didn't bother us and we didn't bother him. The shoot turned out fantastically, Lindsay and I have been working together for at least 4 years and we have gotten very good at getting right down to business. We recently reviewed our first shoots together and laughed at how inexperienced we were.
